Pastor Dan Steepe and his wife Shannon moved, with their two daughters, to Marysville in 1998 to pursue their dream of establishing a "church for the un-churched". New Beginnings Church began meeting publicly in January of 1999 at the Union County Office Building. By April it became evident that a larger meeting place would be necessary to accommodate the church's growth. So on Mother's Day of 1999 the church began worshipping at the Marysville Victory Center.

The Victory Center served as a good home for New Beginnings but as the year 2000 drew to a close, it was felt that a move was once again necessary for the church to reach the next level of growth and development in the pursuit of their dream. So in December of 2000 God provided a new home for the New Beginnings family and on January 7th of 2001 the church began worshipping at 333 N. Maple Street.

In 2003 a 30+ acre tract of high visibility property was purchased for a future ministry campus. The congregation was tremendously blessed in 2004 as God provided for the elimination of all land related debt. As 2005 unfolded, God began to birth a new direction in the ministry of New Beginnings that carried into 2006 as the church leadership underwent a transformation process that led to a more spiritually dynamic ministry which has laid the foundation for a ministry of healing and restoration that will reach far beyond the borders of Marysville. 2007 saw New Beginnings begin to roll out a more comprehensive approach to ministering healing and freedom in the life of the congregation and beyond. 2008 has been decreed the “Year of Discovery” at New Beginnings as God continues to reveal within us His heart, giftedness and purpose for our lives.
