Working with offenders, of all faiths, or none, is never popular, and the media often distorts the reality and complexity of many offenders’ lives and this makes supporting them even harder. Yet as Christians we know the power of grace and forgiveness, and the JOY that comes from a new life. We also know that Jesus spent a lot of time reaching out to the poor, the marginalised and the unloved of society. This is what New Beginnings and its team of Trustees and visitors is striving to do. One of our Trustees has produced a very helpful leaflet with information on where to go for additional help and support for the men on release.
OUR AIM IS THAT PRISONERS IN OUR CARE NEVER RE-OFFEND!
NB4U CIO seeks to befriend prisoners mainly from HMP Leyhill and mentor them on
their release. In supporting NB4U you will be helping us to:
- Visit prisoners on a monthly basis
- Visit ex-offenders regularly on their release
- Provide them with their essential basic needs both in prison and on their
release
Any queries do not hesitate to contact us by email office@newbeginnings4u.org
Pat will be 80 in 2027 and the charity will fomally end in December 2026. However Pat will continue to visit prisoners that have settled in South Wales, Southhampton, Portsmouth and Nottingham antil the funds run out.
